Miguel Torruco tours Las Labradas Archaeological Zone, a unique site in the Americas

#SecretaríaDeTurismo. – Accompanied by the state Secretary of Tourism, Rosario Torres Noriega; the director of the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) Center in Sinaloa, Servando Rojo Quintero; and the municipal president of San Ignacio, Octavio Bastida Manjarrez, the head of the federal Sectur indicated that Las Labradas is a unique site in the American continent, with almost a thousand rock engravings that were carved on the rocks on the beach, which is why it has the opportunity to be declared a World Heritage Site.

He specified that the carved rocks are distributed in a coastal strip, some on the surface of sand and others in the sea, vestiges that are calculated to have been made between the years 750 and 1250 of our era.

Because of its importance and peculiarity, it was declared an Archaeological Monument Zone in 2012. Currently, it has a Visitor Center, interpretive area, museum room and guided tours, which makes it a relevant tourist and cultural attraction in the region.
